This month, we are proud to shine a spotlight on Joe Miller! Joe is a lifelong Buffalonian, who enjoys life with his wife, their three children, and one granddaughter. His family has always been his greatest motivation and continues to inspire him every day. He has built a successful career in sales. Joe values the flexibility his job provides, allowing him to make fitness a consistent part of his routine.
Fifteen years ago, after his doctor discovered he had Type 2 diabetes, Joe made a permanent change. Starting at 290 pounds, he committed to transforming his lifestyle and taking control of his health.
Recently, Joe began training at Catalyst Fitness with his personal trainer, Emily. He shares that Emily continually challenges him while helping him correct form and technique that he may not have recognized on his own. Joe is focused on building muscle and lowering his body fat percentage. When asked what advice he would give someone just starting their fitness journey, Joe said, “Hire a personal trainer in the beginning and learn how to work out the right way.”
Fitness has had a profound impact on Joe both physically and mentally. He has reduced his weight from 290 pounds to 197 pounds. Beyond the physical transformation, Joe says exercise has sharpened his focus and helped him perform at a higher level professionally.
Joe describes working out as a daily reset: “You could have the worst day in the morning, then you come work out, and it’s a whole new day.” For him, fitness is not just about physical improvement; it’s an opportunity to refocus, grow, and succeed in every area of life.
Congratulations, Joe! Your dedication, positivity, and accomplishments inspire us all. We’re proud to have you as a part of the Catalyst Fitness community.
