Member of the month spotlight! (Connie Bitterman)

This weeks member of the month is Connie Bitterman! A little bit about her – Connie is a fine dining server at black-and-blue steak and crab. She is also an avid reader and loves to cook and sample good wines. She balances this all out with going to the gym every single morning!

When Connie was asked what inspired her fitness journey, she explained her story of getting knee surgery and the recovery process back in 2009. Not only does working out help her physical health, but also her mental health. She originally joined the BAC for women and met Ellen Coleman. Ever since then she has had a beautiful fitness journey by doing personal training and classes with Catalyst Fitness.

Motivation can be hard to find. When Connie was asked what motivated her in the gym, she had an interesting answer. “fear”. She has worked extremely hard to be able to successfully complete several difficult classes. With such consistency, she wants to keep her momentum up and not lose her ability to work hard. With fear, Connie says that Ellen Coleman and Chris Steiner have really inspired and pushed her. That is what keeps her going.

Since joining Catalyst fitness, Connie has achieved multiple goals and is currently working on some today. Whether it is conquering bench step ups with a bad hip or working through an injury, every goal matters, she says. Specifically for her, completing difficult workouts daily in spite of injuries and health factors is a huge achievement. When hitting goals it can be mentally and physically challenging but Connie says that Catalyst Fitness makes it easy to reach them. Between the extensive amount of classes and times offered as well as machines and cardio equipment available.
